The Centre for Technology in Water and Wastewater (CTWW) is a world-class research and development centre that partners with industry to develop and implement innovative water technologies for a sustainable future.
Focus areas include:
- Providing water security for community and industry through water reuse and desalination
- Extracting and recirculating water, energy, and resources for enhanced economic, environmental, and social benefits
- Using water to improve livability through the development of blue infrastructure
- Reducing the carbon footprint of water intensive activities
CTWW has an extensive collaborative network with the industry in Australia and other overseas research institutions. Our research has been consistently recognised as world-class by the international community.
Major achievements include:
- Contribution to UTS ranking by US News in 2022 as the best #1st university globally for Water Resources
- Contribution to UTS ranking as 2nd in the world for SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation by 2022 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking
